I love and appreciate movies. I love nearly all genres, except for science-fiction movies that deal with aliens. Ever since I saw War of the Worlds, I just couldn't take another alien race invading our planet Earth.
The movies I really love watching fall into the genre of "romantic comedies." Or in other words, "chick flicks." Whether if it's a masterpiece such as Sleepless in Seattle, or whether it's as horrible as Beastly. I could watch any of them really.
I love watching how two people develop feelings for each other, and how in the end, both people captivate each others' hearts. After watching a good amount of these movies, I began thinking to myself. Why do I like watching them? Why do other people like watching them? Why does Hollywood put in so much money in order to throw so many of these movies out there?
And I came to this conclusion. We were all meant for love. We were all meant to love and be loved in return. To be in such an intimate relationship where you fall more in love with the other person each day.
God created the ultimate love story by sending His Son, Jesus to die for us so that we could enter into such an intimate relationship with Him. A relationship that is eternal, stable, and perfect. Being loved with perfect love. Being assured with His comfort and peace that surpasses all our understanding. Being in a safe place where we can rest and not have to worry about our tomorrows because our God is God, and He will always be faithful to the end. Being loved with a forgiveness that chooses to forget. His perfect love makes us NEW and not better.
That is who my God is. The One who is perfect love.

TO EVERY GENERATION
I started this blog back in the beginning of July, and I finally finished it today.
Where am I right now? At my church's 4th of July production rehearsal right now.
Before me sit eight individuals on stage. Eight individuals who are adults. Adults who love serving the Lord with their talents; singing, dancing, etc.
Last Sunday, an enormous youth choir stood before me on that very same stage, worshipping God with their whole being. Lifting their hands unashamedly to the God who created them. To the God who has their futures in His hands.
Why do I bring these two scenarios up? These two groups of God-fearing people are a great example that no matter what age you are, God will always use you. You can never be too young or too old to serve the Lord. As long as your heart is willing to be used and is completely surrendered, He won't stop using you until you go home.
A life completely sold out for God. Lord, show us what that looks like.
